Apple kalakulu

The Kalakulu is an apple that is firm to the touch with a dark red vertical streaky appearance on a blood red background. Its color intensity varies with different growing conditions. They are known for having a burst of flavor when bitten.

Delicious to eat as it is, the Kalakulu is also a great apple for cooking with as it holds its shape and doesn’t release a great deal of liquid when heated.
